AOV for entrepreneurs
In an accident, you may suffer permanent injuries. Or you may suffer from a physical or psychological condition due to another cause, such as illness or wear and tear. If this injury or condition prevents you from performing your job, it is called disability. But there is a difference between disability if you are employed, or if you are self-employed.
This is because as a self-employed person, you cannot claim benefits under the Sickness Act and the WIA. This can have major consequences for your income and even your future life. As a self-employed person, you may have taken out disability insurance (AOV).
